George Finstad dies

Just read on the SOWNY board that CBC veteran George Finstad has died. He was the weekend anchor of The National, as well as a Marketplace reporter in the 1970s. He was also the anchor who reported Pierre Laporte's death in October 1970. Finally, he was the anchor of The City at Six on Montreal's CBMT-6 in the early 80s. Finstad got his start in broadcasting at CKUA in Alberta.
