George Gedon dies...

(Williamport) -- Former Lycoming County Coroner, 79-year old George Gedon, of Montoursville, died yesterday at Gatehouse Hospice Center at Divine Providence Hospital in Williamsport.

Gedon was a former broadcaster for WWPA and WRAK radio in Williamsport and a reporter for the Grit Newspaper. He also served as assistant public relations director for Little League Baseball, before opening the Gedon Funeral Home on Northway Road in Loyalsock Township.

Gedon also served as Lycoming County Coroner for 18 years.
