George Williamson

George H. Williamson, who was the chief engineer of WASK AM-FM for 38 years, died in Lafayette on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009. He was 76. George began working at WASK in 1960 and was later part-owner of Lafayette Broadcasting, Inc which sold the stations to Duchossois Communications in 1983. George retired from radio in 1998.

George Williamson was the gold standard in broadcast engineers. He was the yardstick by which all other engineers were measured.
