Georgetown Tim Thomas Duo Silent

▪ Tim Thomas Broadcasting’s 1400 WGTN Georgetown SC (Failure to close sale)

I had wondered about that proposed sale. If I remember correctly, the Christian group that was supposed to be purchasing the properties didn't have any current AM outlets in its portfolio and wasn't known as a religious talk network.

On another note, I was quite interested with changes in far northern Arizona (my neck of the woods). St. George is now the biggest city in southern Utah so it would make sense for Page's only commercial outlet to attempt to move in to that market. However, the problems that are making Page less attractive (Lake Powell shrinking, the possible closing of the Glenn Canyon Dam) also affect St. George and surrounding communities as that city also gets a lot of its water from the Colorado River. Therefore, I don't think we've heard the last from this one.
