GET OUT!

Brother Texans,

Don't take the chance! Even though you are 30 miles inland, its not going to be safe! Katrina tought us that.

Get out! Come to DFW. (if you cant find a hotel in Dallas, Fort Worth is just 20 miles over to provide a home. Plus anything in between.)

Know that yall are allready in our prayers.

From Dallas,

No, Houston is 50 miles from the coast not 30. That is a huge difference. I will ride it out just like I have since 1951, when I was born here in Houston. As of this time, it will go into the Sabine Pass area. This is what I am seeing on NOAA's maps and sattellite maps. I may be wrong. However, my gut feeling tells me differently. No, it's not scientific, but it has worked for me before. See y'all on the air Saturday morning on The Wave!

They acually changed the track more east towards Beaumont area.<P ID="signature">______________

Yeah, it looks like it's headed toward Port Arthur or SW LA now. Though that could change :-/

Also most people knew the problem in New Orleans would never be the winds but the water.... New Orleans actually fared as well as Houston will if the track is still current with Winds... What killed New Orleans and made it news central was all the water damage and the fact that it was a major screw up all the way around (Mysteriously, you see alot of pictures coming outta Texas with School Buses right now?!?!?!??!)

The Sabine Pass area and Cameron Parish,La. on the current track however may see what New Orleans and the Gulf Coast experienced only 3 1/2 weeks ago.....

Also I figure D/FW will be packed right now with Texas and Katrina refugees... Maybe why everyone is headed for Arkansas?

This storm is huge however and we hope to hear from all of you after the storm...

It did pretty much what I thought it would do.

Now, that did NOT happen. Infinity combined all 4 of the stations for coverage of Rita. They incorporated air personalties from KILT AM&FM and KHJZ, The Wave.

I was in touch with them Friday afternoon. More than likely I will be on the air tomorrow morning for The Wave's Sunday Sunrise.

It was good to hear you this morning. Thanks for saying the two gas stations on Weslayan and the Southwest freeway had gas. I went and tanked up. I know I needed it. The line was below the E mark.
