Get Ready For AP Times Four Dothan

The idea of all 5 Magic stations being able to simulcast during SEVERE weather is a good idea so that the coverage on one station is equal to that on the other four. BUT the problem here is the people who are doing it. Here's why; It's going to be based out of the WTVY studio..okay so here is what will happen..as soon as bad weather breaks out their going to break in on all five stations and when they do their going to mention WTVY in the update.Amie will especially do this. So if you were listening to 106.7 & they broke in u would hear something like "here is your 95.5 weather update." Basically it would be a plug for one station on another and the listeners would be confused as hell. They are not smart enough to keep it Generic. Also AMIE would look for any excuse to break in on her sister station..If it was raining, if she saw a bolt of lightning, If it rained yesterday..if it is going to rain in three days..if it's raining in Cambodia..WHATEVER she will use it as an excuse to use "THE BOX". Look if they would just use it for EXTREME weather circumstances only it would be fine...BUT the QUEEN will NOT settle for that. I'am telling u they might as well just start simulcasting TVY on all 5 stations..they are already headed that direction.
 
So this is pre-emptive bitching? In PC we simulcasted out of WYOO and ran liners saying we were on all Styles/Magic's stations.

Well...just don't use anything involving that so called "company" and u should be good to go ;)
 
For those of you who may not quite know about the "little black weather box," it will allow AP to broadcast on all five stations. Guess what, it will also allow Kelly Galore to broadcast on all five stations, and Big Daddy JJ Davis to broadcast on all five stations. ANY of the five can be aired on ALL five...when it would be necessary. It's not like if a drop of rain falls from the sky AP is going to flip the switch!!!

People need to know everything that happens in that building isn't due to AP. The way you guys make it sound she should probably be blamed for the California wildfires as well.

Maybe if the rest of you worked as hard as she did you'd be in a similar position instead of just hanging out in radio-info land waiting to blast Amie about something...something she probably had nothing to do with!
 
Ah, barbie, dearest; truly light haired you must be. Fair of hair, mind and heart; yes, we all know how it works and what the uses are. As stated earlier in this thread that is not what is the heart of the subject but the timing. Please refer to my earlier post. But yet you do allude to a very interesting mental picture.....the queen and the princess discussing who get to turn it on and be on all five at once. Fair haired barbie you'd best stay clear of that discussion. Also, I note that only three were mentioned, what about Dave and his station or has that already been determined to be change and become jock-less; careful barbie you may inadvertently spill the magic beans causing the giant magician to hunt you down or the queen to question her mirror.

And also, ease up on the kool aide. "Ride captain ride upon your mystery ship....."

Speaking of which, AP seems to want not just the occasional five-way in an emergency but has anyone noticed that now she not only "borrows" from 1039 to play "Mustang Sally" and "Free Bird" on Fridays, but I've also heard "Thriller", a little Kool and the Gang, and more on days other than Friday. Hears an idea, just wired all boards and transmitters to play the 95 morning show everyday! This might explain why KMX played "Crazy Train" by Ozzie this morning about 7:30. Is all not hunky-dorry in the clouds?

Why even operate that way hmmmmm ? Oh I know I forgot it's because you are short staffed on the 8th floor. And why is this could it be because of Amie caring about nothing but TVY ? Which does have the most Jocks in the building after all .... imagine that.
Keep selling those spots cheap :D

You know, if I were the WKMX PD (or any PD of any station), I think I'd have a major problem with my employees reading a board such as this one, much less posting under their on-air name. Better to ignore a thread like this and spend the time advancing your skills / prepping your next show / any number of tasks better suited to the radio station, if you ask me.

But what if they only read/posted on this site during their free time on their home computer? I don't see how they could be stopped from doing that.

There is nothing wrong with reading/posting here on your own time, but the StephanO post happened at 12:55pm in the middle of the mid-day shift.


You know, if I were the WKMX PD (or any PD of any station), I think I'd have a major problem with my employees reading a board such as this one, much less posting under their on-air name. Better to ignore a thread like this and spend the time advancing your skills / prepping your next show / any number of tasks better suited to the radio station, if you ask me.

A previous post was correct. I don't think you could stop someone from reading or posting from a personal computer on their own time. BUT, if I were a PD, I would NOT want - under ANY circumstances - my staff posting on boards such as this, preferably at all, but most definitely not under a name that can easily identify them (such as their on-air identity).

If your employees were treated equal instead of favoring one or letting that one run you over. Then your employees would be happy and would not even care about this site
 
Hey PEANUTCAPITAL!..Whats's happening? ;D I was reffering to the poster Indebiz he is so critical of Disc Jockeys posting on this site..yet u would assume that he is likely a Jock himself! Which is odd especially since he is so against jocks posting. Which makes you think too that if he were a PD that he would be somewhat hypocritical.
