Tiger Woods will hold a news conference on April 5, at the site of the Masters Tournament, which will take place later that week. This is not to be confused with the pre-produced press conference on February 19, in which he read a fourteen-minute statement and did not agree to take questions from media afterward.

So... which networks are going to carry this one? It's scheduled for 2 PM (ET) on Monday, April 5.
 
To CBS's credit, their promos for the Masters so far have not even mentioned Tiger. That is smart. Build up the fact that they will be the network that has it, the rest is unneeded. Bravo, CBS.
 
CBS telling people that Tiger's going to be there would just be superfluous. Everybody who cares knows his every move lately. Good idea to focus on some other aspect of the coverage/tournament/network that people might not know yet.
 
I doubt the April 5 presser will be on any of the networks. In fact it might only be on ESPN and The Golf Channel. I think people are really starting to tire of this saga. But I bet the ratings for The Masters will be outrageous.
 
My understanding is that only "invited" guests are allowed on the Augusta National Golf Club property, whether it is during the Masters or not. If that is the case, TMZ and others wouldn't even be allowed there for the press conference - nobody in their right mind would invite them.
