Get ready for some new stations

The FCC has made all the new non-comm FM applications public. Vermont has 36 apps, Maine also 36, New Hampshire has 47. As expected, more than half are out-of-state religious groups. Other notes: Vermont Public Radio applying for 10 (the max), NHPR seeking 6, even little Highland Community Broadcasting, operators of LPFM WCNH, go for 5 new channels. WAMC, public radio out of Albany reaching into Burlington and Keene. WFCR from UMass looks like they will earn a hidden gem, 88.7 in Milford. They were the only applicant. Too many others to mention. See them at all http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/prod/cdbs/pubacc/prod/app_sear.htm
