Get rid of Arbitron

Interesting discussion on the Seattle Board concerning companies leaving arbitron for an Oregon ratings company. (see radioandrecords.com). Has anyone heard of this Oregon company? I wonder if Portland should consider dropping arbitron and go with the local, Oregon ratings company? Seems if you could reduce expenses by hundreds of thousands of dollars we could save some local jobs too. I wonder what it would be like if there were no ratings at all. Sales based on results, not numbers that are suspect. So many people lose jobs based on ratings and with the People Meter many will jobs just based on the cost of ratings. Maybe this Oregon company is the next best answer. Is anyone in Portland using this company instead of arbitron, or anyone in Oregon. Is this a solution?
