Get your carts here!!!

Well, it's finally happened...our stations no longer have a single cart machine in use!! :) (honestly a part of me will miss them...nevermind I won't!) But here is the part that I am wondering about. Over the many years that we used carts...we accumulated a lot of them. I feel bad for just throwing them all out...but what else are you supposed to do with them? Any ideas? Anybody know of any schools that could use them or if there are any stations that could benifit from them? Thanks!

I'd be willing to bet that the masterminds at KCJJ still use carts for all of their on air "duties". Being that the station is steeped in 1978 (or even earlier) I'd say give Capt Steve a call. With all that "extra money" he's got laying around, I'm sure he'd give you what he thinks is a fair price.

The Stick

KWAR at Wartburg used carts back in 2000, but I have no idea if they still do. College stations may honestly be more advanced than commercial stations since they usually use GPL or other open source software automation/cart solutions.

I don't have a cart machine, but reel tapes would be nice. I am a big fan of vintage analog audio gear. *drools*
