That's great news for WFSB. Bad news for WTNH and WVIT. They are falling so far behind in the ratings, they can't be happy about this.

I laughed so hard when I read this.. but in a good way.

I bet this show is going to be entertaining and funny as hell! Scot's flamboyancy will hopefully be curtailed by his *** hag, Ms. Lutzker but I'm sure they'll have a good time.

8 falling behind? They are one of the only stations actually showing growth in key newscast time slots in CT.

I don’t think 8 will be very concerned but 30 might be because of their 10am newscast. But let’s be real, these two aren’t exactly “Regis & Kelly”. Not even close.

Another question is how long will this show be? Thirty or sixty minutes? Besides their “sniping at each other, firing weather and traffic jokes back and forth and ribbing each other over clothes, hair and relationships”, I really can’t see them having enough content on a daily basis to fill an hour M-F for an extended period of time.

Remember another 3 personality that tried to make a “show” work? (Although it was on a national level) Even with the big time backing of the “Big O”, Gale King disappeared in fairly short order.

Good luck, I'm sure it will be a fun "experiment" for 3 and especially for Haney and Lusker. But I’m not so sure that the program will live to see it’s first anniversary.

30's not worried at all. Starting in September, the Today show goes to 4 hours. This will probably help the Haneyfest on WFSB, but 8 & 30 have no local programming against it.

I read about this somewhere before, I just didn't want to say anything until I found a legitimate source. Thanks Marc!

Anyway, I think this is great. No matter if some think these two can be annoying, it could just work. I love these two in the morning. Never have I saw two television reporters interact so well. I hardly doubt 3 and Meredith would have ever considered this if they didn't think it would work.

I believe this is going to be a Channel 3 version of 30's news at 10:00, probably without the news. These two can have anyone from authors, chefs, local talent, etc. on the show like 30 has. They really never feature things like that on 3 like 30 and 8 does. I'd sure watch Scot and Rachel over Keisha Grant on 30 any day. At least they don't come off as fake.

On a second note, I know this is a national thing but what is CBS doing to full the 11am hour?

I suspect this opportunity is just another stepping stone on his journey to NY to be on the David Letterman staff.

Okay, and what will happen to Dr. Phil, which currently airs at 10:00? I've looked at some WFSB schedules from the late 80s/early 90s, and it appears that much of their schedule has not changed much within the last 20 years.

Move him to the 9 AM slot? I think it would do just fine there.

WFSB should give Dr. Phil to one of the other Hartford/New Haven stations (WTIC, WTXX, WCTX) that need programming.

As far as the schedule in general goes, WFSB has got to be the only CT station to not have changed their schedule in years on weekdays. From 11AM-7:30PM, the schedule never changed.
