Getting Added To iTunes

Does anyone have experience getting their station added to iTunes? I tried and never heard back, this was like 3 years ago. Wondering if anyone can help by chance?

They won't add my station because it is only 64K. Music stations have to be 128K.

I did some SOUND research before starting my station, and the 128K sound was only about 5% better than the 64K. One guy said home computers don't have good speaker/audio systems anyway, so why bother. I think cell phones are probably about the same.

But, you are still able to listen on iTunes, as it will load your station into their "internet songs"
category......works on home computers, not sure about phones.

That ONE guy would be wrong. Some of us have some very nice speaker systems for our desktop computers, and others have routed their computer audio systems into their home entertainment centers.

Computer audio can be quite good. There is a HUGE difference between the fidelity of a 64k stream and a 128k stream.

I forgot to add that a 64k mono stream will have about the same quality as a 128k stereo stream. If the source is mono, 64k might be okay.

I've been on iTunes for quite awhile (Stitcher, Tune-In, etc. too). I'm only @64k, but then again, it's a talk radio station and 64K is a bit of overkill. I used to run @32K, but moved up to 64K at the request of a few of my hosts (30 different programs).

iTunes will accept lower quality streams if they are talk-only stations. 128k is required for music streams.
