Ghetto announcers on 1010WINS

For the past few weeks Meyers Chevrolet in Queens has saturated 1010 WINS after midnight with these 2 commercials using 2 inner ciity sounding vo's .One of them opens by saying" Where can you buy a Chevy for less you axx" How is that acceptable on a station other than an urban format??

Those "ghetto" announcements are no worse than your less-than-acceptable punctuation and spacing, but I get your point. However, it is after midnight and they are commercials. You could be doing much more with your late nights. Let it go. I get irritated sometimes with white southern drawl during commerical breaks on my favorite Midwest stations. I let go of it. The guys with the perfect enunciation repeating an 800 number 10 times in 60 seconds got my goat, too. I let go of it. Of course, if it's a personal problem with you and me and our possible collective problem with "ghetto" people and white southerns, we're the ones with the problem. Not the people doing the commercials.

Nothing is worse than the "Major World" spots with that "announcer" shouting at the top of his lungs!

What about "Tell them about the discount, Harry"?
Or, the one about windows where the screens are falling out?
Anyone remember those?

You think all that is bad, just wait until Oxi-Clean migrates from TV to radio and that guy starts yelling at us.

Holy Mackerel!

Dont forget, NY radio and TV had the best and funniest obnoxious screaming ad of all time- Jerry Carroll for Crazy Eddie.
