I received this blog from Jason Hawes on his My Space page.

Scifi orders 5th season and more special information!

OK, so we come back in September with 13 more 4th season episodes that we are filming now!
plus a live show at Ft. Delaware on Halloween!
But Scifi also just ordered 26 more episodes for 5th season 2009 and another Halloween live show!
You have all made this possible and have taken the paranormal from a interest to a movement!

Thank you for all you do!
J.C. Hawes

As we know "Beyond Reality Radio" a.k.a. Ghost hunters is in Hiatus on WPRO so they can film the rest of the 4th season of Ghost hunters.

Sci-Fi channel ordering 26 more episodes probably puts the radio gig on hold longer.

To folks reading this from outside markets- Sci-Fi channels Ghosthunters is originated here in Warwick, Rhode Island.

Jason and Grant the founder of Taps Host a local show on WPRO Saturday nights called Beyond Reality. That radio program is temporarily in Hiatus.

No need to put the PRO show on Hiatus. Why arn't they airng reruns? I know that they've got them there since they've rerun shows before. That makes me worry about the future of the show on PRO a bit.

The TV show does take them all over the world but alot of the cases are usually close to home with no more than a days drive away.
If you watch the show they are mostly produced over the weekend. A Saturday into a Sunday.

I believe they could have a hit if someone would take a chance and syndicate the radio version. I don't understand why no one has jumped at the chance.

Jason and Grant's "Beyond Reality Radio" with the national Ghost hunters TV program on Sci-Fi proves once again the great Talent on WPRO.

WHJJ is so far in the back of the bus now I think they are under the rear wheel.

There is no doubt that "Beyond Reality Radio" is a good show. It was a mistake to put it on Hiatus. The station built up a loyal audience in that time slot. Now they are going to lose it. Not a smart move.

You can put a TV show on Hiatus because people expect summer reruns and the audience will be there when the show returns in the Fall. But just try doing that with a radio show. Radio shows don't go on HIATUS! Everyone now thinks the program is just canceled and the show will end up returning to an audience of nothing. That is where the mistake was made. WPRO should have just aired reruns over the summer.

mabe it wasnt wpros decision and it was the hosts desicion to stop airing it... cause wpro had nothing to lose by airing reruns

In a bulletin from Jason Hawes on My Space a while back He said it was his and Grants decision to put the radio show on hiatus so they could concentrate on the completion of season 4 which will air in September on Sci-Fi.

Speaking of Sci-Fi. They did order 26 more episodes for a fifth season.
Ghosthunters first run episodes repeatedly holds the #1 position for it's Time-slot in all cable Wednesdays 9 pm hour.
Top Rated prime-time cable TV shows include but not limited too.

WWE's Monday Night Raw Monday night's on USA
WWE's ECW on Sci-Fi

It doesn't take them any concentration at all for the station to air reruns. So why not do that?

Likely, the station doesn't have the consent to air the re runs any longer. When they left they were still looking for a syndicator. Having the reruns airing on WPRO kills other options they may have.
