Giants Baseball Broadcast Question from 1960's

In 1961 I dated a girl who was the daughter of a radio engineer. The family name was Smalley and he was, as I remember, an engineer for the station doing the radio broadcasts for the Giants baseball team. I don't remember which station the Giants were on back then (although it was obviously an AM). I have an aircheck of the old Casey Kasem Countdown show from KEWB in which they play that "Jints versus the Dodgers" novelty record from way back then (Alvin Dark was the manager) but that was taken off KEWB and I am pretty sure the Giants were on one of the S.F. signals.

I'm wondering whether anyone in the Bay Area remembers who this engineer might have been and which station he could have worked for.

Prior to KNBR, the Giants broadcasts were on KSFO and the broadcasts were produced by KSFO rather than the Giants. Russ Hodges and Lon Simmons were the announcers. The "Bye Bye Baby" phrase I believe was made popular by Lon Simmons, and the song was apparently written by KSFO newscaster Aaron Edwards. That's the extent of my Giants-on-KSFO knowledge.

On KSFO in those days the engineer might have been Rich
Smalley. I do remember my friend and co-worker, Bob Texiera did a lot of Giants broadcasts in later years until the Giants left KSFO for KNBR.

Thanks much guys. It's a lead. I had no idea of the alternate spelling of the name.
