Giants radio for 10/8

The Giants play Washington at the Meadowlands tomorrow at 1 PM. TV is not in doubt 'cause Fox5 will air the game. Radio is up in the air because of the baseball playoffs -- and newspapers aren't giving the proper info.

If the Mets have to play the Dodgers at 4 PM on Sunday, the Giants will be heard on 92.3 Free FM. That's because the Mets have priority on The Fan as long as they're in the playoffs.

If the Mets play Sunday night -- or if the Mets sweep the Dodgers tonight -- Big Blue will be heard on The Fan.
 
Or if the Yankees get defeated tonight by Detroit, they could move the Giants game to WCBS-AM. ;D
 
92.3 Free-FM (WFNY-FM) is the backup station if WFAN is running a Mets game. I think most Giants fans know where to go if there is a Mets game on. Used to be Bloomberg, I have not heard any "spillover" stuff on 1130 in a while. Maybe they are out of that game now. The newspaper probably does not want to cram all the "what-ifs" in the listings.

BTW, the other baseball team in NY has gone retro. The Daily News reports the Yankees will fire Joe Torre because of their latest playoff collapse. It is The Bronx Zoo all over again.
