Gift you WANT someone to get

Twas the day before Christmas Eve
and all through the halls
not a creature was stirring
not even a sales weasel (of course)....

So, thought I'd see if any of you wish a gift(s) would be received by some one else. I'll start;

For The Radio People - I wish that they would get space in a shopping center with a bigger parking lot. They are way to close at this time, sticks and stones do hurt from close distances.

For Magic Broadcasting - Anything and everything. They need it all.

For WOOF(s) - More time in the day so they can play more songs without playing less commercials. Many, many more Christmases with Agnes.

For Wilson Broadcasting - The University of AL basketball team doing really well, really early so they can sell it as well as they do football.

For Weevil - Jodi cloned.

For Troy Public Radio - A big fat gift/grant to play more centrist talk to balance the dribble of Oxy Rush in the middle of the day.

I wish each and everyone a very Merry Christmas. Please be safe, please be calm, please be nice to each other and yourselves. We all pick at each other and sometimes not always in good fun but remember that thanks to Jesus we are each forgiven by God, no matter what, so we should at least do the same for each other and ourselves.

My wish is that everyone in broadcasting continue to be employed in the coming
year no matter what company you work for.

These are hard times economically. I know the people in our building have
busted their butts to keep up and produce when it looks like things are drying up.

And programming is trying harder than ever to assist sales in their challenges.

And the parking lot is fine, I love everybody over there...

MERRY CHRISTMAS YA'LL

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas too! And yeah...we all oughta be a little nicer to each other on here, when it's Christmas or NOT Christmas. If it wasn't for Christmas, we wouldn't have that forgiveness either...you just remember you have to ask for it though (Romans 10:13) cuz it doesn't just come automatically.

And we do all like to poke fun, too...I have to do that about the folks at Crawford and WYDE. You know....somebody has to do it! :D BTW, anyone notice WYDE has gone all Christmas music now during the day when they've been offering music. I think they're still airing the talk programming, though, throughout the day as before. Is the format change finally on its way...back to talk again maybe?

Does WYDE get the vote for being the most insignificant 100KW signal in the Southeast?

Sadly, they might as well be at this point. Honestly, I've given up on caring about that station's format changes and the station itself.

Friends and colleagues

I wanted to wish you all a happy holiday season and to give some encouragement .

I know times are hard and yes the budget ax is swinging but remember we are jocks.

They said when eight tracks, tapes, cd's and ipods came along we would be done.

We have survived it all and we will continue to survive.

People say O your job is easy all you do is talk and play music. As we all know that is not the case.

Not everybody can do what we do.

My christmas gift for the young jocks just starting out would be that first full-time gig because everybody

that has paid their dues deserves a shot.

For us radio vets our gift would be that shot at our dream markets

Hope your holiday is a great one
