Gigs in Vegas

I saw there was a gig opening in Vegas, what's the area like for radio. It's a top 30 market, but how's the pay? Who are the major players? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm. Well you are talking about market (i dunno if arbitron will let me put this, but 2 below the top 30 market). Great market because although it isnt Top 10, youve got some major top 10 events because, lets face it, its Vegas.

As a new Vegas resident who moved 3000 miles for a gig, I can definitely say it is a cool market to be a part of. The gigs don't pay all that bad!

I think it is safe to say Infinity is a major player. AllAccess.com it and check out the ratings, you'll see who are players in the market.

All and all, it is just a fun market to be a part of. KLUC is looking for production/imaging. ;)

KLUC has a full-time opening? That's rare! Where did the last Prod. director go?
It's a good station...their PD, Cat Thomas, is level-headed...bascially, he's one of the few people that do the right thing, and doesn't screw the talent...in other words, a real man, and actually sticks up for them.
It will be interesting to see who they hire. It's a stable gig---can't remember the last Production Director that got fired there.
