GIL GROSS?

Someone posted on another page that they heard Gil Gross might be in talks to do radio in NYC as opposed to San Francisco where he got fired at KGO. Anyone hear anything?

I hope it's to do news (and not on WEMP!)

As a newscaster, Gill Gross is as good as they come. His talks shows, on the other hand, have always sounded "generic" to me.

I hear Gill doing a syndie talk show, Real Estate Today, on a local AM here in Connecticut. It's nothing like I remember when he was in the NY market previously.

I enjoyed the Gil Gross show when it was on CBS Radio. But I must agree, it was pretty generic. But in my area it had all ages listening, including local university students. So here was one host who could reach the under-25 demo.

How Long was Gil Gross on CBS Radio? I know that Gil Gross had dual duties on KGO he was a Talk Show Host and he did the ABC hourly news .

Gill is doing some fill-ins for the syndicated Michael Smerconish Show this week according to Gil's facebook notes. Gil's a great guy. Worked with him in Philly. BE BIG!

I believe Gil did the CBS show (8pm-?10pm) for severa years. That gig reached its end, as CBS did not realize its plans for a major talk network. He then resurfaced at WWDB in Philadelphia when they launched their ill-fated attempt to beat KYW in morning news. That lasted maybe a year. I have heard him on other news networks since, including the short lived re-birth of NBC Radio news.

I heard on Gil Gross KGO show he talked about working for WCBS-AM at one point can you explain this. I know Gil is best known for replacing KGO-TV Anchor and KGO-AM talk show host Pete Wilson since 2007-2011.
