Hello, I would like to explain about Gil Hodges, the former announcer of channel 7. Is that the same Gil Hodges who played baseball for many years? Is that true? Thanks.
 
No, that is not true. Gil Hodges, the baseball player and former Mets manager died in 1972. The broadcaster Gil Hodges was after that, lasted for many years on Channel 7.
