The daily rag reports Gill is officially gone from SuperTalk. However, he's negotiated to end up with only a 3-month non-compete with the exception of being able to do Saturdays beginning Aug. 1.
So where's a displaced conservative talker to go in this market?
1. Start Saturday afternoons at 1510 until they can squeeze in a shift for him?
2. Would the Zone be interested in dropping two hours of sports again to work him in? Could he do another version of the Legal Zone?
3. Would Salem bring their conservative talk lineup in on one of their stations and use him as a local host?
4. Are Murfreesboro's or Clarksville's talk stations looking?
5. Is someone in town planning a new talker? How about on a fringe signal? Believe it or not, there are still many more syndicated talk shows that aren't heard here.
6. Could he introduce country acts and sell sausage and flour on Friday and Saturday nights?
7. Can he broadcast in Spanish?
8. Does a non-compete count if you're only streaming?
Anyone want to venture a guess?
