So ex-staffers say Gill is a rager who screams at and belittles his employees. They say he makes Carl P and George Plaster look like amateurs when it comes to temper fits. Any truth to this?

I have heard he is tough...but I also heard his ep is even more tough. What makes things worse is she is a female who is bossying around most of the all-male staff

What's sad is Steve Gill could be a GREAT talk show host. What I hear is that he won't listen to anyone except his EP. I also hear is not happy at all that Phil Valentine is being syndicated. I've worked with Phil before and he is the most proffesional broadcaster I've ever known. He does his homework, has a great voice and listens to constructive critique. He also has a very talented sidekick in Johnny B. who has a great voice as well (even though he should never be called an EP. He's a great talent but not in that area). Steve would benefit from watching how they work as he has the goods,he just doesn't quite grasp how. A side note:I don't care how explosive Steve and his producer are, they could never hold a candle to Johnny B. who has the WORST temper I've ever encountered. It's his only drawback, aside from his marital history (even though I hear he's now happily married and has settled down in the temper department as well. Let's hope.)

Did Phil actually end up syndicating to anywhere? I haven't heard or read about his show being carried in any other markets.

I've worked with Johnny B and found him very easy to work with, plus he has delightful sense of humor. There are several people I've worked with who have nasty tempers or other flaws in the way they treat people, but he is nowhere near among them.Speaking of talk hosts, I miss Les Jameson. What a great man!
