what the hell is up with that? WHY would The Hawk fire Gina Crash? she was the best DJ they ever saw.

ok, shes the best DJ they have ever had working there.

BECAUSE YOU CAN GET IT HERE, thats why. and very clear on the eastern edge of the market at that. NE philly, bensalem, bristol, trenton

I can get 1040 WHO from Des Moines and 780 WBBM from Chicago clearly at night. That doesn't mean they belong on the Philly board.

Gina Crash is a great talent who will land on her feet. She's had many unfortunate breaks in and around Philly though.

yea, it does suck, hopefully she'll find somewhere she can stay.

I can't believe EYG would question the decisions made by a "Hawk" station, even one that isn't owned by Nassau!

105.7 is not a Philadelphia station. Then again, earlier a declared WPST wasn't a Philly station. EYG's rebuttal: "Yes it is." He showed me.

I will concede this though-- Gina has been on air in Philadelphia, and is somewhat known in Philly radio circles. For that, I can see the information being relevant to the Philadelphia board. But not because 105.7 is a Philly station. It's not, and anyone who has ever actually worked a day in the business knows why.

P.S. -- How exactly does 97.5 The Hawk "live on"? Sincerely curious, I remain...

Would that be considered a "Crash landing"? ;D

"(fanfare) I've been BANNED from the 105.7 The Hawk building! What the hell is up with THAT -- what the hell is THAT all about?" (inside joke) :D

I agree completely with Groge. (Inside Joke). When I was visiting the area this summer I did a band scan with the radio in the Trailblazer I rented before leaving 30th Street Station and going on the Surekill Expressway. I couldn't get any 105.7 The Hawk. I got 105.3 DAS-FM and then whatever that stupid station on 106.1 is called. No 105.7 The Hawk.

EASTERN EDGE of the philadelphia market it is strong, i never said 1057 was a philly station, if you wanna get technical 1057 is a Manahawkin Station, and PST is a Langhorne Station.

i post this here, because ppl in bucks county DO LISTEN to 1057

And like I said... the area can hear 780 WBBM in Chicago at night. Does that mean it's OK to discuss ow they covered a Chicago traffic jam on the Philly board because it can be heard here? This is on the New Jersey board. Please leave it there.

yes, but 105.7 is heard in bristol, l-town, croydon, NE philly fairlesshills CLEAR 24/7. and it is semi-local, you do hear news about trenton at times, and you do occasionally hear out temperature and info about the NJ/PA turnpike

people do listen to 105 in the area, it aint just me

Fine, so i guess it aint ok for NJ people to talk about WMMR, even though it is CRYSTAL CLEAR all over the NJ shore?

Fine you win
