Gino Cappelletti will rejoin Gil Santos in the booth on Sunday

I suspect that next year (assuming hockey is back), Dave Goucher will be doing double-duty: Play-by-play for both the Patriots and Bruins on radio.

He could do all Pats' games and miss only a handful of Bruins' pre-season and early regular-season games (depending on the Bruins' schedule; should on an Autumn weekend, the Bruins are at home on Saturday and the Pats at home on Sunday, Goucher could do both).

WBZ-98.5 could save a bit of money by giving Goucher a slight salary bump (and per-diem expenses for Pats' away games), but his combined salary for doing both teams would be less that that of Goucher doing the B's and that for a separate announcer to do the Pats.

Dan Hoard currently the Bengals play by play announcer for the Bengals is my best guess.

His wife Peg Rusconi can't find work in Cincinnati and WBZ-TV would love to have her back.

Is there a 'crazy' filter on this messageboard? The successor has already been picked months ago. It's the house guy - John Rooke who's has more than 20 years working in the Kraft organization and long resume of p-b-p in every sport. Loyalty rewards.

John Rooke is solid.
Deserves the job.
Sad that he lost his BC gig to ________

I don't think the Kraft's would be OK to "share" an announcer.

It will be Dale Arnold he has a history doing patriots Games and is a great Play By Play guy,, there is an outside shot that another guy may take a bow when he gets the job but the smart money is on Dale. I am sure he'd love to stick it to the midget of guest street that is if mini man still has a job after the fall book......

Considering how much Bob "Call-me-Mr." Kraft loves suck-ups and how much of a suck-up Arnold is on the air, I'd say it's a match made in heaven.
