Giovanni Out at B101

Assuming it wasn't his decision, why did iHeart Providence even hire him in the first place a year and a half ago? His show was great while it lasted. Adam Rivers from the iHeart Hartford cluster is now tracking afternoons.

I don't really pay attention to Pr o evidence radio, but it sounds like "Last OneHired, First One Fired." (Yeah I know - laid off).

Iheart has done this in Hartford. Several years ago they hired a personality named Fisch to do mornings at The River 105.9 and in under a year the budget axe swings and he was out). The in 2024 they hired long time Connecticut icut personality Allison Demers for Middays on The River 105.9 to replace a long time personality who was retiring from radion. In April 2026 the budget axe swings and Allison was let go after 22 months.

I am sure you are right. Giovanni is a Providence legend. Before B101, he spent 50 years at WPRO-FM, doing AM drive for the last 25 of those 50.
