With the impending sale of the Pok Cheap channel cluster, this board should be abuzz with rumors and info about the stations involved. Anyone on the inside have any info?? Place to send a t&R?? Whats going to happen with the current staff?? Format changes?? All the legal BS has been broadcast and listed on the local paper. I understand the deal will be finalized in August. ???

Any info would be appreciated!!!

I guess Kiss-FM in Poughkeepsie will filp from Top 40 to oldies as Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel. Kiss-FM has been playing a little bit of hip-hop & R&B for the last 7 years, but it's going to change very soon. If you want to see oldies coming back to the Hudson Valley, WVTK in Vermont already flipped from top 40 to True Oldies Channel last month, but I hope WPKF should flip it very soon, after it drops the Kiss-FM moniker, listeners would go to K-104. What's going to happen to Lite-FM at 92.1 and 98.5? Are they thinking about changing the format if they could drop the "Lite" name just like the way 106.7 in New York City did since April? ::)

Where did you get the information that kiss is changing to oldies?? I find that really hard to believe. I can see a deal like 92.9 where they took an underperforming station and switched it on the cheap, but not a station with target demos like Kiss...or are we just talking to hear ourselves talk?? ???

I have excedrin headache #19......

Or maybe they should flip to an all urban station since Kiss-FM is still urban leaning station, they will flip to a more hip-hop & R&B format known as 96.1 The Beat if Goodradio takes over the CC property probably by the beginning of August.

Sure Disney...Kiss finished #2 18-34 last book, #2 12+ and top 5 25-54 and has a morning show climbing up the ratings in the market--THEY'LL be flipping to oldies.

Whatever happens, I'm sure you'll be the last to know.

I guess K-104 is #1 in the ratings that fall beating Kiss. I know hip-hop sucks for now because of Al Sharpton's situation and things like that. I checked on the New York board that Hot 97 went from urban back to more rhythmic formula like they did. I wish that Goodradio.TV should be taking over the CC Hudson Valley stations very soon, so keep an eye on it.
