Giving you the bird...and I don't mean the finger!

WJZS is the latest victum to have to rely on Bird feed for its programming.I am surprised they are using a network from Citadel.I am not a fan of complete Bird feed but listening last night it sound live. The guy on the air was soliciting phone calls to a 1-800 number and he talked like 30 seconds on an outtro of a song witch I dont hear on syndicated shows much.

B101-Dont like it that much.Voicetracked satelite fed.If you are going to go satelite fed at least have the programming live and not pre recorded.Citadels feed on WJZS sounds alot better.

WSNE-Do they even have a studio for this station anymore?I have to admit I have not heard any of the generic programming. If its like B101's. Lord help them. With the execption of Matty and Ryan Seacrest I dont see anything remotely interesting.

PRO-FM. Have not paid any attention to them in a while

Hot-106-I know there is some syndicated shows but not sure where.

WPRV- Switch from Sports to oldies to Business talk.

WALE- Sounds like someone actually is putting effort into this station.More than likely Steve Bianci.Looking at thier website it seems to be on the right track to get more local and live.I hope they dont screw things up over there yet again because they do have a WIDE-OPEN door to make some sort of impact here if they do it right. They have no competion at all with exeption of WPRO.I dont count on WPRV and WHJJ anymore.

I never thought I would see the day when we had something nice to say about WALE.Boy,have times changed....

Lite-105 Is this the only station that is local around the clock?

Thoughts.....

You forgot one, country bumpkin. I think the frost is on your pumpkin.
WCTK has an all-night jock, Bob Maddox, 5 nights a week. I don't know if he's live or tracked or what's on the other 2 nights. With the exception of some weekend countdown stuff I think it's all live & (thankfully) NASCAR is gone.

OOPs... Forgot about WCTK.Like I said before HALL seems to keep most of thier stuff local.I friend of mine told me that They have a body in each cluster 24/7 in case of emergencies even if the shift is pre recorded.

Funny how you used the the term "Country Bumkin" >I have been telling the girl I have been seeing lately that she has the country bumkin thing going on that I adore.

Before anyone says it...Yes I date.

WALE seems interesting from what I've seen on their website. I wished they streamed so I could check out the JAZZ Show and The Paranormal show.

You forgot another one!.

Ever since winning its independence from Boston University, WRNI 1290/102.7 has made great strides in increasing both the amount and the quality of its local content.

When it comes to news, whether it be national or local, WRNI is usually the first place I turn to.

As for WALE......If they're really serious about this latest revival, they're going to have to do something with what's left of the Spanish programming. Whatever momentum they have going during the day comes to a dead stop as soon as the Spanish music starts playing. If they were smart, they would park it on 1320 WARL, and try to fill out the rest of the English speaking broadcast day.

As far as WALE goes, I agree with Dighton. Put the Spanish on 1320! Fill out the rest of the broadcast day with English programming!

Kenny, you think Matty and Seacrest are remotely interesting?Matty doesn't even go with Coast's hot ac format. The only reason he is working CHR in Boston is that he's always been there and listeners are there for him and not KISS.It doesn't matter what format he works in Boston but in Providence it matters and he doesn't.Seacrest is interesting only if you need constant updates on celebrities.

I think Matty's show would be better if he didn't play so much damn music. He really has a great personality. It's just hard for it to shine through when he plays 10 songs an hour. It's probably why he fails in syndication. Seacrest does rely to much on celebrities. Just add both HarveyLevinTMZ (and) hollywoodtv to your twitter account. It will save you from having to sit through Seacrest's show.
