I went to my first Gladiators game. It was terriffic!! Anyone know who the pa announcer is. He rocked the place. He sounds familiar but can't place him.

Its Dan Zullo, you probably remember his voice from years back when he worked at WMJI...he also does voice commercial work for different PBS specials and local/network commercials...

Thanks for the info JNight! I certainly know that name in VO. I didn't know he worked at mji. Learn supm every day.

Dan, aka Tony Havana, started at WMJI as a Production Assistant. I forget the year... '98? Later added on air swing duties and board op. A few years later Dan left CC Cleveland for a full-time opportunity with Radio One where he spent, I believe, five years as Creative Director (Dan, correct me if I'm wrong, please).

Dan is a natural talent, and a great guy to be around. Funny as hell! He was booking union VO gigs while us "veterans" were still talking about how you go about it. It was a pleasure to give him dubs to do each night he worked, lol!

WMJI was a great place to work mid to late 90s. The environment cultivated and taught you. Something that arguably doesn't happen much anymore. Many creative, talented ppl at that time, most of the support staff including Production under age 30 believe it or not....except Dan :D

A spot that runs often featuring Dan is one for Firefighters Credit Union.
