He might as well, he's keeping the station a float...I thought lawyers were bad? That's what Savage says...(except for his) Why don't they (kdwn) try to sign-up a car dealer or two? Or a home builder?

Look at all the ads that have gone from kdwn. The hearing aid guy, the "the pure trust guy", the father and daughter real estate team, the local attorney who's now on kdox, the garden show (now on kdox), the health food lady(Olean?), the two auto brokers, the RV dealer, etc. etc. They have the sex pill and the strip club--classy.

No wonder people like "nic" are so up tight, and the economy has just begun to tank-the future does not look bright for kdumb.

Now people are complaining about the junk emails they are getting after entering email contests conducted by this low-rated outfit.

Lets be Fair to KDWN

I see mred always busting kdawn's chops to be fair to 720 they are not willing to overpay for talent in a unfreindly radio ad market like Las Vegas 840/CBS corp is paying loads of money to keep talent which reflects in their ad revs not matching the cost of contracts for Hannity&Limbaugh plus they had to take on Levin in order to keep Hannity if KDWN wasnt making anything they would have dropped the format a long time ago but I suggest KDWN go back to the biz model that Claire Reese and Mr Williams created for KDWN because I have a feeling when they owned them they were making more money than the current ownership!

I am glad Lerner is helping out people who need medical tests, because of the BIG BAD REPUBLICAN doctor and member of the REPUBLICAN govenor's transition team. We need more lawyers and fewer doctors.

I noticed his ads should up on the other "news radio" station. I wonder if they will still make fun of him? calling him the "heavy hidder"? he probably doesn't care because he might have a sense of humor, unlike the people throwing around the charges of "racism."

I found an old tape of Alan Stock filling in for Tom Kamm on ksfo in San Francisco, (Kamm was suspended for two weeks because he said that illegal aliens should be executed)...He seemed to be friends with Savage, who referred to him as a "professional broadcaster."

Las Vegas is 33rd in metro population, but 26th in billings. It's a very ad friendly market.

840/CBS corp is paying loads of money to keep talent which reflects in their ad revs not matching the cost of contracts for Hannity&Limbaugh

Most if not all the cost for syndicated shows is barter... no cash out of pocket. A few, like Rush, get $ on top of the barter inventory, but it is fair given the ratings and the salability of Rush.

I suggest KDWN go back to the biz model that Claire Reese and Mr Williams created for KDWN because I have a feeling when they owned them they were making more money than the current ownership!

Billings have nearly doubled under Beasley.

Their ratings hardly show up. Also, with all the money spent on studio upgrades, TV and print ads, etrc. their gross is up, what about their net?
