Glen Meakem

Glen Meakem is hosting the War Room while Quinn & Rose are on vacation. While I've never listened to his weekend shows, he seems out of his element here (though giving it good effort).

I guess they had to dig for a replacement host since Mike Pintek is back on KDKA, but couldn't they have found someone better for a show that airs nationally.

don't think quinn and rose are a "national show".....last i heard they had a few locations, but i can guarantee they weren't in LA...enlighten me if i am incorrect...

Meakem does a very interesting business show on the weekend, and his views are much more in line with their core audience. Obviously his prime focus is in something other than radio. Q&R have always struggled to find guest hosts (Dmitri Vassileros had their fans pretty much in open revolt a couple of years back). Pintek was by far the most polished guy but I'm sure you're right, he is now committed to KD.

The contrarian in me espouses the Wally Pipp theory that since so many of Limbaugh's guest hosts went on to host competing shows of their own (Sean Hannity, Tony Snow, etc.) that perhaps now these guys do not want to have anybody who is too good filling in during their vacations.

Quinn and Rose are on 18 affiliates, mostly east of the Mississippi, though there is one in Colorado. They are on nationally via XM (OK, I guess that's SiriusXM now).

Yes, they are on XM Channel 158 (and simulcast on XM 154 currently). So I guess you could say they are International :)

Back when Savran was on 970 CC didn't like having to pay someone to fill in for him. This probably falls under the same umbrella.
