29 year WSJS morning man Glen Scott announced his retirement this morning, at the end of the month. He said his successor would be new Director of News & Programming Brian Freeman.

That was a great run! Glenn is a great person, the finest, most even tempered, and agreeable on-air person I have ever worked with. He has made millions for WSJS. I hope they throw him a big party!

Enjoy the beach, Glenn!

Glen Scott.....what a great guy, and as Xtalker said....even-tempered. I had the pleasure of working with Glen during the (former) Vantage Chamionship at Tanglewood. We would do several days of remotes from the course and it was the ONLY remote broadcast that I did not dread. (And I hate remotes, but thats just me...) I refered to the days at Tanglewood as "My working vacation". Just show Glen the mike, and that was all he needed to know. If something went wrong, Glen never batted an eye, and you never heard it in his delivery.

Glen: My Sincere best wishes. One of may favorite people in radio.

Enjoy the time Glen, and yes, WSJS should give him a Big send off...he deserves it.

I've never met the man, but I've always heard nice things about him. No one I've ever met in Triad radio has ever had a bad thing to say about Glenn Scott. I enjoyed listening whenever I had the opportunity, and I can truly say he's a local radio legend. I wish him all the best!
