C

CAPECRUSADER

Guest
As on Monday, 4/12, The South Shore and Cape Codder's will be able to hear Glenn Beck on crystal clear 50K FM...WXTK @ 95.1

Okay, I'll bite and ask what current show in their lineup are they getting rid of take make room for Beck?

My guess is Laura Ingraham...out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Why don't talk stations just voicetrack? Not syndicate, VOICETRACK.

Music stations have been doing it to save tons of $$$ for years now.

All they need to do is get some voiceguy to read all the same crap that Ingham, Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck, Levin, et. al. say everyday. It's more or less the same stuff. Just read the days talking points and have it run in a loop 24/7.

You think I'm kidding? Guess again.

Prob getting rid of Ingraham...or moving her to another daypart. He's resonating with a lot of people as
one of the nation's most heard hosts. If he's annoying some/many on the Left he's doing his job (otherwise
they'd ignore him). Have heard a bit of, good in small doses.

Note the radio-info.com headlines which mention Beck made $32 million from Mar 09-Mar 10. "According to Forbes, the 400 radio stations that carry the syndicated Glenn Beck Show earned him $10 million, with another $4 million coming from his popular afternoon Fox TV show. " Then there are his books.

Beck as a "morning zoo" DJ in 80s; who would have thought he'd come this far?

Hey, I guess that would also include Steph Miller, Ed Schultz, Thom Hartmann, Mike Malloy, Randi Rhodes, etc. too...?

Glenn Beck is a great American. Glad the market is going to have the chance to hear him.

Yeah, he's not bad...not my favorite, but not bad. I can understand the negative comments though, coming from the Boston area...after all, Liberalism is a mental disorder....oops, wrong guy... ;D

Ingraham is listed as airing only from 10AM to 12 noon. I would guess that WXTK is only carrying the latter two hours of Beck's show.

By the way, WXTK's Wikipedia page says:

"Local, regional and national shows are featured including... Neal Bortz."

Neal Boortz, according to the schedule at the above link, is no longer heard on WXTK.

So, not only is the station's Wiki inaccurate, it's out of date!

Well......That should certainly help fill-in those areas of the Cape where the 1200-WXKS signal isn't so great.

As for Beck himself?......Love him or hate him....It's awfully tough to argue with success.

No comment. Not a fan of Glenn Beck either. Wrong market, buddy!! :p

Wrong market? Beck's show is actually in Boston - you may need to make a concerted effort to pull in a good signal on AM 1200, but he's there!

See, the way it works here is: You're supposed to post your own opinions. You're not supposed to have a re-purposed truck driver write them for you.
