Glenn Beck dumps Pittman for TalkRadio960

As if you needed another example how Dr. Marcus Pittman has no clue about operating a radio station. The Glenn Beck program dumped Pittman for Townsquare's second talk station. Rumor has it that Premiere monitored the station and found more dead air than actual programming. No surprise there. I'm also hearing stories about false affidavits being provided. One would have to wonder if Pittman Broadcasting was a tax shelter for his various businesses. Something seems shady.

The in-house word on this was that Pittman dropped Beck and is completely reformatting KVOL. And I just checked 105.9 and found it to be Cat Country 105.9. A facebook search shows that they are now Tony and Kris affiliates. I wonder who else is coming to Lafayette?

Wow. And I just checked 1520 and it's airing Z105.9...so Pittman decided not to switch that format like it was previously mentioned by powerhour. They need some IDS though.

Hey powerhour...are you Troy D from 106.3 The Juice? Certainly sounds like you with the personal attacks.
 
The affiliate dropped Pittman because no one in Lafayette could keep KVOL on the air. Anyone who monitored this station knows they always have issues. This comes directly from the affiliate. The "inhouse" word is that they will move KVOL's programming to the currently dark 106.3. No personal attacks. It is obvious your boss don't know radio because he is allowing you to put a stale country format. Let's hope the rumors of Charles Chatlin and Chuck Wood buying these stations and putting on a professional product.
