Glenn Beck To KSEV

Glenn Beck is coming to AM 700 KSEV in a week or two. Pat Gray made the announcement this morning while talking to Glenn on the phone. It should start around 10/29 with 2 hours of Glenn's show split up but at least it will air during the daytime. I believe he said the first hour will be 2-3 pm... the other will be later in the early evening...probably after Dan Patrick's show.

Yay!!! I have missed Glenn since CC sent him to the abyss. He is on from 3-4:00p.m. then from 8-10 p.m. There is nothing else of substinence on at those times, in my opinion. Welcome back!

Good to see Glenn back, especially together with Pat again. You'll note that Ken Charles, now at CC Miami, has kicked Glenn to nights on WIOD, replacing him with a godawful local show. I suppose his answer is the same, "his ratings weren't good enough". Too bad neither KPRC nor WIOD have ever been beacons of ratings success, at least in their time as CC-owned properties.

I'm not surprised about Ken Charles relegating Beck to the abyss. There is something between them. Ken has not liked Glenn for a while. I figured it was only a matter of time before he was moved in Miami.

Yes, like when Kevin Metheny, who really doesn't like Beck, booted him off WTAM in Cleveland. Apparently his 11 shares weren't good enough, so Jerry Springer :D was brought in to wipe up the mess. A couple books later, Jerry was gone in favor of a new local talker. Beck has now put WHLO in Akron into the Cleveland book. WEOL in the western suburbs might also show up now partly because of him.

I do credit Ken for being responsive to listeners, and wasn't aware of a "thing" between he and Glenn. It seems there are several PDs/mkt managers with this issue, and I'd say where there's smoke there's fire, except all the PDs who have problems with him are reputed [EDIT]
