Glenn Beck ?

I don't listen to his national show that often. When did he find religion and god? I don't remember Beck ever talking about god during his days on WFLA(970).

He actually found religion after giving up cannabis and alcohol. Beck attended his 1st A.A meeting in 1994. A few years later he found religion during a "Spiritual Quest".

Like Jeff said he is just using religion for ratings and revenue.

Spirituality and morality have been staples of his show since he launched his talk career at 970 in 2000 ... although, to be fair, he used to work just as hard at being funny. The Terri Schiavo situation was something of a turning point for him, as I recall.

I listened to Glenn everyday when he first came on 970. Back then his show had lots of raunchy and sexually suggestive bits. Also, back then he frequently alluded to being a Catholic, not a Mormon. After 9/11 he got a chance at syndication and completely changed his show. The sexual innuendo was gone, and all of a sudden he was a proud Mormon... yeah, I stopped listening after he went national. The show pretty much blows now... IMHO.

His hourly opening sounds like Armageddon. Think he would be a perfect replacement host or competitor to Coast to Coast AM.
