Just read he is retiring on November 22nd after 40 years on WSB. Who will be his replacement? My thought is Brad Nitz since he is there when Glenn is not.
Glenn Burns is the best. Brad Nitz, who yes will become WSB-TV's Chief Meteorologist, is very good, and I doubt the change will have any effect on ratings. But IMHO, Nitz is not quite the caliber of Glenn Burns.
Glenn Burns' dad was PD of one of the big Miami stations; might have been WPLG.
I still remember Glenn doing weekends and noon on believe when he started. It took the fall from grace of Russ Minshew to open up the chiefs spot. I would assume wsb will hire another meteorologist to keep the staff at 5. I would expect Brian to continue to hold down mornings. Maybe eboni gets promoted to noon and 4 or a new hire assists brad at 4 5 6 &11

Brad also does WSB 95.5's radio weather when it's meteorologist (now Christina Edwards, was Kirk Mellish (Melhuish) is away.
It will be interesting to see if Brad continues that or if someone else does, and since Christina has TV weather experience, if she reciprocates. (Kirk spent 34 years at WSB radio.)
