Grahame is extremely loyal to her people at DRC-FM, and vice versa. Mike Stevens was very good to me when he was my PD, so the last thing I'd want to do is take his job! Jerry K and I didn't mesh as a morning team in 1996 partly because of the circumstances through which I was brought in, but I respect his integrity and work ethic. Larry's one of my favorite people in the business; the cornball humor is part of his charm. I never worked with Floyd, but I enjoy listening to the pro he is. Some good people have been let go in several waves of downsizing there. I'm proud of my eight-plus years at a heritage station I grew up listening to, but the last thing I care to contribute to is more radio musical chairs.
Jim Reed at Kool 101 is a great guy, but again the jobs aren't exactly opening up left and right at WBMW's competitors at Hall and Citadel. "Glenn & Rebecca" were well received in eastern CT, and I would welcome the chance to bring good chemistry like that to the airwaves again.
Radio exits are seldom easy, but I'm at peace with it knowing the mutual respect Red Wolf's VP/Programming Brian Ram and I have for each other. He's done an awesome job. Owner John Fuller was not thrilled about this departure either. I'll leave the door open - as they requested - and move on. I hope that puts things in perspective. Thanks for the opportunity to do that.
