Globe Columnist Weighs In On Kroc Gift

Since people from all over the known universe can visit here, I'll start by giving some background on Boston Globe columnist Alex Beam. He came to the paper over a decade ago as a business writer. Later he moved to the Living page and began writing a general-interest column, although a bit higher up on the food chain than Barnicle, that is, articles about somewhat esoteric matters such as personality profiles of University presidents and deans, usw. Thus, from time to time, he weighs in on the broadcasting industry in general and radio in particular. Today, September 20th, he wrote an article about the bequest that the Ray Kroc estate made for NPR. Read all about it at: http://www.boston.com/news/globe/living/articles/2006/09/20/where_did_nprs_burger_money_go/
