Globe:financial shows blend advice,marketing

MA Secy of State Galvin investigated Barry
Armstrong and Chuck Nilosek in past 6 months.
Chuck, who had been rumored to co host
the RKO morning show, paid $50k to
settle his state finance improprieties
and said it ruined his life.Barry, who
like many such hosts pays for the airtime,
denies wrongdoing.

Doesn't the BGlob have anything better to do than to go after a guy like Barry Armstrong? Seems like someone, either at the BGlob or in the state house doesn't like Barry.

Whatever Barry is alleged to have done pales in comparison to what goes on in many, many state agencies.

one small thing I have noticed, is that FINALLY at the T.O.H. intro after the local news on WRKO, Armstrong's show is identified as paid programming".

I have also noticed he no longer has rotating co hosts since Kim Carrigan left, no more Gail Huff, and the rest of the revolving door crew, just the 2 under 30 guys that are with him daily.

IMHO WRKO has been in violation of the FCC rule requiring commercials to be identified and the sponsor clearly identified with regards to this show since "Lunch Money" debuted on 9/10/2010, after the first Rush Limbaugh defection.

But I don't think the "paid programming" disclaimer has anything to do with the Feds, I would bet it has everything to do with Barry, the Armstrong Advisory Group, and the Commonwealth of MA., and him trying to cover his arse.

Now that being said I still say it is the best program WRKO has from 6A to 7P.
