Globe: "Split decision" (Sox on WRKO, WEEI) "largely favorable"

Wolfie is claiming that the switch of most Sox games to 'RKO has been "virtually seamless...And both of the new guys have been very well received so far". Well, except for the mucho Geffner bashing online...

"Wolfe said that in the March ratings, when WRKO aired about 15 spring training games, mostly in the afternoon, Carr's 25-54 age group grew to a 6 share compared with a 5 share in February."

Speaking of sports did WAMG 890 (ESPN) go up to its new power/pattern? Thought I heard mention of it on air yesterday and last night I was in Lynn and Swampscott and it seemed fairly strong(er). Yes, you could hear some WLS behind it and at times it faded a bit, but better....

WAMG has been doing some transmitter work in preparation for its nighttime signal boost, but the testing has mainly been down between sunrise and sunset so far. Check the Northern New England Board and read the posts under "WAMG Doing Transmitter Test". If you don't subscribe to the Boston Radio Interest Group, you can read the posts at the Archives by visiting www.bostonradio.org and there's also bit of information there too.
