The Boston Globe has a general features columnist named Alex Beam (many of you know that but not everyone); on Tuesday, 08/03, he described his experience while listening to China Radio International. This link may not include the comments; I thought that it must have taken a special effort for Alex to listen to CRI because of WILD's many technical issues...the dead air, low volume, etc.

I was almost going to post a link (someone did, on boston-radio-interest). He did mention how for some reason they pick up the Orioles games/WBAL after dark prob not aware (or maybe just pretending to be mystified) that ILD is a daytimer and must give way to the Maryland signal...

Alex has been with the Globe quite awhile and I have a cass. of Jerry Williams' final show on WRKO
(they let him come back to pretty much say goodbye; I think it was a month or so before his death)
and Beam called in and talked to The Dean

I did see your comment; sometimes due to flash/ad loading issues you have to wait a moment. It'll say Reader Comments ( ) and after a short while the number of comments shows up and you can click it (again, flash/ad loading)
