Globies showing up on Finneran show/WRKO

http://www.bostonradiowatch.com

Thaw in the ice between Morrissey Blvd. (the newspaper part, not Greater) and Entercom? But on 680,
not 850, as several Globies get to join Finneran

>>Each week a different Boston Globe columnist will call into the show to discuss the day’s most topical issues. Initial contributing Boston Globe columnists will include Kevin Cullen, Joan Venocchi and Jeff Jacoby.

Also taking part, Major Garrett of Fox News (heard on Ingraham from time to time), etc. Who knows,
will "Shaughnessy, Get A Life!" show up on 'EEI too? :)

(also, BRW quotes a 'TKK spokesperson as saying that no decision has been made yet as to whether
or not O'Reilly gets dropped, what with the new McPhee show at night. Hope they keep Ingraham
and Hendrie!

Some would say it is the Punch Shultzberger connection with the Globe and the Boston Red Sox that is bringing the "Globies" to WRKO.

Maybe this Punch Shultzberger guy does have some influence, whoever he is. However, Pinch Sulzberger, the CEO of The New York Times, doesn't. He doesn't own WRKO and therefore has nothing to say about its programming.

EDS...the derangement that just keeps on giving...

Would you ever trust someone named "Pinch" or "Punch"? ;)

Well, IF O'Reilly stays, I can see a current 12-3 show that will be on the chopping block...again...and there won't be a shortened 10-12 slot to save them this time either

"Pinch" is a nickname and should have been in quotes. His full name is Arthur Ochs Sulzberger, Jr. The etymology of the nicknames is that his father, Arthur Ochs Sulzberger, was nicknamed "Punch" as a child, to match his sister Judith ("Judy"..."Punch" and "Judy"...get it?). Thus, his son was "Pinch" (a little "Punch"...something lost in translation, I think).
