Is this the Bill Thomas from Birmingham radio?
Yeah, one & the same. The Double O GM/market manager job is a good gig. Not an easy one, but with 4 full power FM sticks to play with, the basic tools are there. And with PFM finally slipping past Island--a good "lead story"...
i hope something happens with WASJ. right now its a 100% satellite fed, over processed, 50,000 watt waste of energy. hell, i would be happy if it were the same format...just local.

It's programmed by Mark Carter locally, but VT nationally and is what WASJ is not. All the big
boys from corporate radio shake their heads at him, but he kicks butt for what he's got going on!

well, I'm here in PCB...i work in radio here. never heard of The Seabreeze, but i do suppose that WASJ is making some money also; because Double O doens't have to put any money into it...just pay the electric bill.
If your living on the middle to west end side of PCB vs. Panama City, you should be able to get
Seabreeze, even if it's only from your car. Basically, Double 00 and Jones Satellite forced Mark
Carter to go on his own because both stations were airing the same feed. Tis a sad statement
of radio anywhere that a station is left alone because "it doesn't really cost the company
anything." Except lost opportunity costs, which could be huge.

I could use 5 minutes of your time, sir, if you can spare it. You may remember that I am the MTV girl you inherited many years ago at New Rock. Quite honestly had you and Ed and Joel and Alex not adopted me into the midnight shift I wouldn't be in radio. But ya'll did and here I am. There must be another Bill Thomas; the one I knew (Bill "The Birdman" Thomas) passed away some years back, poor dear....but he ahd been a fixture in both PC and B'ham radio.theradiopro said:Is this the Bill Thomas from Birmingham radio?
