GMAZ with Kaley

What on earth is going on over at 3TV? Perhaps they should just name Kaley as solo anchor of GMAZ! Since Kaley has been there, they seem to let Scott and Tara take vacations at the same time, leaving Kaley to anchor for 5.5 hours without much help at all.

I didn't watch much weekday GMAZ prior to Gina doing traffic. Did Scott and Tara both take vacations at the same time when Olivia was there Did they have Olivia anchor the whole show by herself then?

It would seem more sensible to have Javier or Tess in studio helping Kaley anchor the entire show, if both Scott and Tara are off.
 
I was watching GMAZ this morning (7 June) and thinking the same thing! Are they trying to work Kaley until she passes out?!? I thought maybe she would be off today because she worked Memorial Day solo. I'm not sure how 3TV manage their vacation schedule but something is wrong. I'm surprised they didn't bring in a nighttime reporter to help Kaley.

I don't remember Olivia Fierro doing weekdays solo.
 
Remember, Kaley has a wedding coming up and may be stocking up on time off for the honeymoon!

You are right though, it does seem that Scott and Tara being off on the same day happens more often now that Kaley is on the staff.
 
I wasn't aware of her upcoing wedding. That must explain why Kaley is willing to put in a lot of solo time!

That being said, if I were Scott or Tarr, I might be a little bit reluctant to leave Kaley there by herself too much. It might turn into GMAZ with Kaley (and without Scott and Tara)! :D

BTW, Scott was subbing for Tess this morning on GMAZ Saturday. I wonder if Tara will be in tomorrow. I guess Carey (the usual weekend GMAZ sub) is on maternity leave now???

Tara Hitchcock actually broke the news that Kaley was engaged! Tara noticed that Kaley was wearing a ring and asked Kaley, on air, what was the ring for. Kaley had to explain. Reminds me when Tara announced that Tim & Willy were leaving KNIX.

Sunday had Javier Soto with Ryan O'Donnell (sp). I have seen Tara do weekends before, most of the time on remotes, but once in studio. Carey Pena is on maternity leave and won't be back until July.
 
Yeah, I remember that one time when Tara hosted Weekend GMAZ. She fussed all morning about having to be there. I'll take Tess anytime! :D

Of course, now, they would probably have Kaley solo anchor it -- while Tara, Scott, Tess, Ryan, and Tyler were on vacation! :D
 
And if Kaley solo anchors GMAZ weekend, it has to start at 6:30am! :D (Sorry for posting twice in a row, I'm on a roll...)
 
Kaley announced her engagement when she was still with Channel 15, unless it was an on again off again thing. Her fiance proposed to her in DC as I recall. Lots of pictures and blushing faces on Ch 15 that morning... **grin**

Tara's latest announcement (she always tells everyone else's business) is that Scott is going to be off for TWO weeks starting on Monday. I hope Kaley isn't getting married yet...then again, maybe I hope Kaley is getting married soon...let's see if Tara can solo anchor 5.5 hours of GMAZ without having a meltdown...HIGHLY unlikely in my humble estimation! :D
 
Poor Kaley!

She had to anchor the first 90 minutes of todays (28 June) GMAZ solo. Javier Soto was off and Scott Pasmore is on vacation. To top it off, Gina Maravilla was not there so Kaley had to do traffic as well! Luckily April Warnecke was in, because Kaley would have to do weather too. Tess Rafols was in the field at the AZ state capitol building. Not sure why they didn't have her in studio to help Kaley.

Tara Hitchcock could have came in early to help. In the past, Tara has said (and done) she would come in if someone told her. Were the producers scared to ask?!?
 
I hope Kaley got a BIG raise when she moved to Channel 3 because she certainly does a lot of work! :D

That being said, why does Kaley seem to have all the work dumped on her? Honestly, weather in Phoenix (unless we're having a monsoon) is not that hard. Can't April at least do weather AND traffic when Gina is not there?

3TV is being a little unfair here. I'm sure Tyler Baldwin would have been willing to come in at 4:30am and co-anchor with Kaley. Perhaps they could have Frank Camacho come in at, say, 8am and anchor the news updates from 8am to 10am to give Kaley some relief..

A few months ago, Kaley admitted to Scott that she has "trust issues" and that she and her fiancee have been together for a long time. I assume there were issues between the ABC15 and 3TV events.
 
On Mondays GMAZ, Tara announced that Kaley will be getting married Friday 10 September. They showed video of Kaley's wedding shower.

I wonder will Kaley have to work on Thursday?
 
Hopefully, she's getting married somewhere OUT OF TOWN. Otherwise, Kaley will probably be anchoring on FRIDAY morning before the wedding! And, of course, we wouldn't expect her to take a long honeymoon because it might interfere with Tara and Scott's eight weeks of vacation per year. :D :D

Then again, I hope she takes a three week honeymoon to see if Tara and Scott can get through three weeks of anchoring the whole show without having a meltdown.
 
I'm sure Kaley can squeeze in her wedding between Friday on-air segments! That means she can still work and get married: the best of both worlds!

Exactly! And Javier can do live reports from the wedding chapel all morning long!!! Tess can be live in the bridal suite. Bruce, of course, would be live with the groom. :D ;)
 
I can just see the cover falling off the old ABC logo in the "3TV Wedding Chapel"...or the ghost of NewsChannel 3 coming back...or something of that sort...
 
Let's hope, for Kaley's sake, there is nothing news worthy going on where she is honeymooning, otherwise they would have her do a live remote....
