GMAZ

In addition, Old Tucson, Brad and Dan had both overstayed their welcome on GMAX. For whatever personal reasons, Brad had changed from funny to bitter and sarcastic. While Dan had been around forever, his segments got very stale and dull at the end. I'm sure he drew a large salary for a contributor because his longevity, but he really wasn't contributing much.

I agree with both points. Brad did change from happy-go-lucky to sullen. Started around the time he was rumored to be in the running for the Good Morning America (ABC) weatherdude. Dan was working "Tara Hours" and sometimes his contribution was to laugh at jokes. Maybe he thought because of his tenure, he could coast, but not in ultra-high competitive morning news program.

Well I never heard her Tara talking bad about anyone, but Im just a viewer and not privy to what goes on in the background.

You're an avid GMAZ watcher and you've never seen Tara "expose" something about one of the other team members?!? She does it almost everyday in some way or another. It could be planned and part of a well-cultivated "persona" for Tara, but it seems like she does it very naturally. ;)

Tara did let us know this morning that she'll be in San Diego for the wedding of Heather Moore (yes, that Heather Moore...) later this summer during some banter with Scott, Kaley, and Yetta that lasted for a good five minutes. So I definitely wouldn't put it past her to be airing other people's business.

The HeathMo' nuptials have been a topic of discussion on TheDirty for months now; it's not like they were some big state secret.

Do you have a link? I did a search on The Dirty and didn't see anything about Moore getting married, just the old Lemoine stuff.

I saw the JohnJay write-up and stopped reading that mess.

Tara Banished to Secondary Set

During the 7am hour of GMAZ, Tara has been banished to a secondary set. Kaley and Scott anchor the entire hour with only 2 or 3 interruptions from Tara. :D

So, for those of you who would prefer a Tara-less GMAZ, take a look at the 7am hour. ;)

Obviously Tara does not get alot of love on this board, but Belo sees something they like that they keep resigning Tara and make her the face of the morning show. Personally, I don't see anything special about her. Would the entire show would collapse and the ratings would tank without Tara? Does one person make that much of a difference? The way I see it, there's no difference if they put someone like Tess, who does a good job on the weekends, in Tara's spot. The show transitions like any other morning show that loses a member and life goes on. I'm not in the business or behind the scenes so maybe I'm missing something.

What do you think?

@aznyin I am assuming that KTVK/Belo have done a lot of market research on Tara. She must have a high "Q" score -- popularity and recognition. That's why she continues on GMAZ. That said, I just love the Saturday morning team of Tess and Tyler -- they are a great weekend am team. Honestly, no offense to Ryan, but I wish Tyler were on both weekend days.
