Go Country Classics To Debut on 105.1 HD3

http://www.gocountryclassics.com/

Tonya Campos says “based on popular demand…many songs from the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and early 1990s which are not played on a regular basis on contemporary Country KKGO are now being featured 24/7 on GoCountryClassics.com.”

This replaces the Retro 105 programming on 105.1 HD3 and replaces the website that was geared toward New York: http://www.gocountryny.com.

The streaming URL is the same as the GoCountyNY one was: http://1.ice1.sa.streamaudio.com:8000/kkgo_ir.aac
Audio player link is: http://mgmt.firststreaming.com/listen/player.php?callsign=KKGO_IR

I'd assume that the Retro 105 stream may continue to be available at: http://1.ice1.sa.streamaudio.com:8000/kgil_am.aac
Audio player link is: http://retro105.com/programming/listen/player.aspx
Website: http://retro105.com/

Retro songs are still playing on KKGO HD3 as of Friday evening.

KFRG has a similar station on 95.1 HD2, California Classic Country.

I actually liked the Retro 105 when I was visiting LA. But it is January and it was time for Saul to flip something since he hadn't done it yet this year :)

Classic Country on AM-1260 coming soon? ;)

He tried a Classic Country satellite format on 540 AM. Didn't work. However, they have yet to try an automated CC format in-house.

We'll see what happens.
