It was tried here in may of 1995, many years back as Star 98.3 WYSR (Star 98.3). Who was the owner then? Capstar?
Now that it is 14 years later, I would love an all 80's LOCAL station in Albany. Even a 90's station for that matter.

Actually that was "All 70s", and it sounded like as much of a train wreck as 98.3 does these days too. It was around from the end of 1994 until late 1996. The "All 80s" station was 104.5-WABT from 2000-2003. They actually had finally figured out how to make the format sound pretty good at the end too doing an 80s and early 90s retro rock format. And just when they had finally worked the bugs out of it, they pulled the plug on it.
Thanks for the kudos! We have such a massive collection of music and why not celebrate some great temps with some great music! I've been having fun listening all weekend - makes me miss my days as a part timer (just a little bit though) where theme weekends were always exciting!
