Goertzen's Brain Tumor Returns

There was a tearful feature tonight on KOMO4 News at 6 o'clock with Kathi, Dan, Steve, and Eric discussing Kathi's upcoming surgery (her 3rd in ten years) tomorrow to remove a brain tumor.
 
Kathi is an genuinely amazing, wonderful person, and incredibly tough to go through this a third time. I wish her all the best, and will be sure to say a prayer for her. Hopefully third time will be the charm, and she won't have to go through this ever again.

Kathi Goertzen is a one hell of a survivor. I swear if there were ever a nuclear holocaust, there would only be two living things that could survive it; cockroaches and Kathi Goertzen.

She went into surgery about 9 a.m and the surgeon came to see the family at 3 p.m. Kathi is now in recovery and the doctor says they "got more of the tumor than they thought they would."

Kathi is the BEST. I and your countless viewers wish you a speedy recovery and expect to see you grace the KOMO set once again very soon!

but I'm with everyone else here. It could happen to any of us and I've sent out some prayers her way. she's a strong person ...
 
I never watch KOMO and if i do its because of her..

Scientists all say cockroaches can survive nuclear blasts, don't know how, but they can.

Kathi Goertzen, being someone who has survived cancer not once, not twice, but THREE times is living proof that the best of us can too.
