I've been listening to Open House Party a lot lately, and the last hour is all throwbacks, but what is considered gold? Here's just a small sample of what I've heard as supposedly gold over the past 3 weeks.
Neon Trees - Animal
Flo Rida - I Cry
Justin Bieber - As Long As You Love Me
Swedish House Moffia - Don't You Worry Child
Kesha - Crazy Kids
Carlie Ray Jebson - Call Me Maybe
Would anyone call any of these golds?
 
Then why are they playing them in the Purple Chamber? A couple more from last night,
Calvin Harris - Let's Go
Cher Lloyd - Want U Back
Havana Brown F. Pitbull - We Run the Night this one has been played in the Purple Chamber each of the past 2 weeks on Sunday nights along with Give Me Everything.
 
Isn't a gold title generally one that's been around at least 3 years or so? Kinda funny to consider that gold, but for CHRs, which dump most material after a year or so, I guess it makes sense. I think Mediabase classifies all of the mentioned tracks except Animal as recurrent.
