Well its been over a week since Rita....
Here is the breakdown of the stations in the area..

KLVI kept right on going through it all...dont know how!! but the 4 tower array at Bridge City stayed up and true....CC's FMs were on and off after Rita passed..some sounded like low power or exciters...106.1's audio went from good to bad to worse back to ok...As of Monday, the FMs broke away and went back to music...Kudos to the crew at the BMT cluster for their good work...

1340 KOLE came back on the air recently....I THINK 1380s tower is down..have not confirmed that yet....I know the STL tower on Sawyer street (the old KLVI STL tower when LVI was there for the longest) IS down...they must be running KOLE from the xmtr site in PA.

1250's taller tower looks like it took some damage...it has several sways in it and is NOT true vertical....the shorter tower is ok from what I have seen...

All other AMs are off the air except I THINK I heard a dead carrier on 990 late yesterday...dont know why they would bother though...990 hardly covers Beaumont anymore and 980 out of Houston blasts into BMT during the day it seems (it sure was bad over the last few days)...not sure of the towers of the other stations except 1450s...its still up (cant miss it!) but no signal from the stick.

FM wise, just about all of the FMs are back on...Cumulus's 102.5 was off for the longest..CC's kept dropping off probably due to generators running out of gas...but came back on later...the engineers there probably are driving around all the xmtr sites keeping them fueled (those that need it anyway)...
94.1 has been on with coverage (copying CC)....so has their 101.3 sister station in LCH...

Tower wise, as I mentioned above, KOLE/KRCM lost their STL tower in BMT...and I think KRCM's tower is down (it was sooo rusty, I would not be surprised!)
Time Warner Cable lost their 500ft CATV tower in Port Neches...Pinnacle/Global Signal lost a 375ft self supporter in Groves (where a 94.7 translator was SUPPOSED to go...oh well, sorry no religious music there now)..that tower WAS the old Port Arthur marine operator tower (on VHF channels 26 and 27)..and had been there for as long as I can remember (back to the 60s at least)

All the other major towers are still up...but I have not gotten to the north side of BMT to check any of them out there...I DO know several 500 and 600ft 2 way towers are still standing straight and few on the air with generators (or power if Entergy has gotten them back on)...

Shame to see the TWC tower down...I was looking at putting something there!
It bent over in 5 places and didnt do any other damage and wasnt being used for CATV anyway...they had their 2way on the top and some cell stuff at 300ft...so nothing major was lost.

Well back to the fun of restoration here...will update when I have more info

92.5's signal is really strange - today in Port Neches the signal was very weak yet as I drove to Beaumont the signal seemed to get better. Has the transmitter been moved?

1380's tower is still there - but may not be powered.

I havnt realy noticed any power changes on 94.1 I can still pull in almost like a local out at Lavaca county, 106.1 goes out more than it usually did, is 102.5 on the air? I usually can hear it in the background of kmks, and same with 95.1 and kvic, but I heard no feedback last weekend.

92.5 appears to be broadcasting from the 103.3 location in Beaumont, but on the 92.5 frequency. When I was in Port Neches on Friday, I noticed that their transmitter in Bridge City must have been powered up briefly, with a mono signal being broadcast. It was off the air yesterday and I could barely pick up 92.5 in mid-county. The FCC must have given them some sort of emergency approval to broadcast from Beaumont? How does that work?

CC filed for an AUX site for KCOL FM at the studios, where they have the 103.3 translator....but if they can run the main, they are supposed to...
Funny thing, the FCC rules do NOT require an aux station to cover the COL like the MAIN is REQUIRED.....in fact, Univision filed for an aux of 93.3 (licensed to Port Arthur) with the antenna on 980s tower array in NE Houston!!! Like that will serve the COL at all!!! The only restriction in the rules is the 1mV contour of the AUX cannot exceed the MAIN...

There is no reason 92.5 cannot run their main xmtr from what I see; power is back on (I think I saw their tower lights on)....but considering Beaumont is the only "sellable" city in the Triangle, they want to keep any signal on there they can!

UPDATES to earlier post:
yes 1380's tower is still up....but dark...1600 in Orange KOGT is fine and was back on the air quickly..

KUHD has both its towers destroyed (KUHD?? Who is that?? 1150 Port Neches)...the owners were trying to sell 15 of their 20acres at their tower site for $75,000...which was appraised for only $32,000 for all 20 acres!!! Bet they are running out of cash....and after the FCC hits them with fines for no tower lights and no FCC tower registration numbers, they will likely be dark (again) until someone buys the thing (again)

Havent heard anything yet on 1250 Port Arthur....but the tall tower sure looks like it is leaning in several places...

Pinnacle tower's S Vidor tower (on previously known as Jap Ln) took a hit...several runs of Heliax (500-600ft) are off the tower....one snapped at the 300ft level...one antenna at 400ft is leaning 90deg to the tower! and may yet fall....Power has been restored but a couple of the radio systems there are still off the air.

Are you sure you're not thinking of 1010's daytime site in NE Houston? 980's sites are west of Katy (night) and Rosenberg (day).<P ID="signature">______________

I think you are correct. Here is a picture from KOLE's web site.
